Santa Claus on “Benevolent Government” — Ron Paul’s 2017 Christmas Message

Government is not Mother Teresa.

It’s not “caring,” or “compassionate,” or “humanitarian.”

It doesn’t “help” the poor . . . . It multiplies them.

It doesn’t “run the economy” . . . . It destroys it.

It doesn’t “spread freedom” . . . It squashes it.

Government is violent force.

Either that force is chained down by a Constitution, or like a fire, it’ll spread and burn down everything in its path.

Happy Independence Day — From a 21st Century Tory

Filed under: Correspondence, Politics, Principles — Tags: , , , , , , , — mikewb1971 @ 6:18 PM (18:18)

My inbox is always bursting with spam —

From: Michelle Lujan Grisham via bounce.bluestatedigital.com

Subject: Happy Independence Day!

What’s amusing about this is that Michelle Lujan Grisham is the 21st century New Mexico equivalent of an 18th century British Tory.

A little histoy lesson here — the Tories were the British political party who were opposed to the American Revolution of 1776. They were whom the Declaration of Independence was a series of complaints against when it was signed at Independence Hall (then the Pennsylvania State House).

In short, they were the Big Government party of the United Kingdom of the 1760s and 1770s.

Doesn’t Big Government neatly summarize the political career of Michelle Lujan Grisham? When has she EVER supported making government smaller, less intrusive, less expensive? Not much that we here in New Mexico have seen.

Grisham has little to no respect for the individual right to own and carry weapons, she’s always in favor of expanding the welfare state, and she signs off on Democrat-sponsored corporate welfare while complaining about corporations being under-regulated. If you’re a farmer or rancher, she doesn’t seem to care if your land is seized out from under you by the BLM, Forest Service, Fish & Wildlife, EPA, or whoever else, just so long as it fits the current Democrat narrative.

What’s also amusing is that today’s British Tories (the Conservative Party, by their own name) are the “across-the-pond” equivalent of America’s Republicans — they advertise themselves as moderate libertarians during the campaign season, then govern as moderate Democrats (Labour Party for the UK Conservatives).

If you want the real deal, then go with actual, brand-name Libertarians here in the States. For the UK, I would suggest either the Libertarian Party UK [LPUK] or UK Independence Party [UKIP]

Washington’s (and My Own?) Birthd . . . Week

Got this recently from The Daily Reckoning:

The Daily Reckoning – Monday, February 18, 2013

Greg Kadajski checking in today from Baltimore, Maryland . . .

Dear Reader,

Today is “Washington’s Birthday.” Well . . . not really. George Washington was actually born on February 22nd. But thanks to the Uniform Monday Holiday Act – the purpose of which you can only guess at – we now celebrate it on the third Monday of February.

And so, in a sense, the US government now mandates that “February 22nd” actually fall somewhere between February 15th and February 21st of each calendar year.

Yup . . . That seems in keeping with a governmental view of the facts.

Considering that my own birthday falls into this same time frame (21 February), does this apply to me as well?

Can I get a guaranteed day off with pay, as the Posties do every year for “President’s Day” ?

Kevin Bloody Wilson — Hey, Santa Claus

Current mood: annoyed, bored, bummed, cranky

Quite often I get to thinking how as kids we got by
Like at Christmas time at our house we couldn’t even afford a fire

But we made do with what we had back then when I was young
Dad used to suck a peppermint and we’d all sit around his tongue

We couldn’t afford no sparkling tinsel for our Christmas tree
So we’d just wheel old Granddad in and make the old cunt sneeze
(ahh-CHOO… wheel him round the other side nanna)

But things changed pretty bloody quick, I’ve got kids now of me own
And I heard ’em unwrap their pressies, last night when I got home

Hey Santa Claus you cunt, where’s me fuckin’ bike?
I’ve unwrapped all this other junk and there’s nothing that I like
I wrote you a fuckin’ letter and I come to see you twice
You worn out geriatric fart, you forgot me fuckin’ bike

If I’d a’ wanted a pair of bloody thongs, I would have bloody asked
And this cowboy suit and ping pong set you can shove right up your arse
You’ve stuffed me bloody order up, it’s enough to make you spew
But it’s not just me who’s snakey, me sister’s dirty too

Hey Santa Clause you cunt, where’s me fuckin’ pram?
You promised me you’d bring me one, you remember who I am
Cause I’m the little girl what you made sit right on your hand
I’ll give you fuckin’ ho ho ho, you forgot me fucking pram

Next time I come to see ya I’m gonna punch you in the guts
And I’ll let your fuckin’ reindeer go and kick Rudolf in the nuts
You just wait til next year, when you get back to that store
And me and me little sister come stomping through the door

And we’ll say, yeah you wait for it:
Hey mum’s and dad’s you smell his breath and check his bloodshot eyes
And don’t listen to him boys and girls cause he tells fucking lies
He’s just a piss tank and a pervert, and he’s not even very bright
Cause the old fuckin’ wanker forgot me fuckin’ bike

Hey Santa Claus you cunt, where’s me fuckin’ bike?
I’ve unwrapped all this other junk and there’s nothing that I like
I wrote you a fuckin’ letter and I come to see you twice
You worn out geriatric fart, you forgot me fuckin’ bike

Fuckin’ dob you in you old cunt
Tell me old man on you, he’ll punch your fuckin’ lights out
I saw mummy sucking Santa Claus

Tequila Christmas Cake

Current mood: mellow

Forwarded to me by L. Neil:

Once again this year, I’ve had requests for my Tequila Christmas Cake recipe so here goes. Please keep in your files as I am beginning to get tired of typing this up every year! (Made mine this morning!!!!) 1 cup sugar, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1 cup water, 1 tsp. salt , 1 cup brown sugar, Lemon juice, 4 large eggs, Nuts, 1 bottle tequila, 2 cups dried fruit.

Sample a cup of tequila to check quality. Take a large bowl, check the tequila again to be sure it is of the highest quality then Repeat. Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar. Beat again. At this point, it is best to make sure the tequila is still OK. Try another cup just in case. Turn off the mixerer thingy. Break 2 eegs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit. Pick the fruit up off the floor, wash it and put it in the bowl a piece at a time trying to count it. Mix on the turner. If the fried druit getas stuck in the beaterers, just pry it loose with a drewscriver Sample the tequila to test for tonsisticity. Next, sift 2 cups of salt, or something. Check the tequila. Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find. Greash the oven. Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over. Don’t forget to beat off the turner. Finally, throw the bowl through the window. Finish the tequila and wipe the counter with the cat….. 🙂

LP Monday Message: High Unemployment on Labor Day

September 6, 2010

Dear Friend of Liberty,

It’s hard to celebrate Labor Day when unemployment is 9.6 percent.

Government interference is the single biggest cause of unemployment. Minimum wage laws, OSHA, ADA, etc., etc., make it difficult both to hire and to fire workers. (And when it’s difficult to fire workers, it’s much less likely that they will be hired in the first place.) To reduce unemployment, we need to start repealing laws!

Section 2.7 of the Libertarian Party platform states: “We support repeal of all laws which impede the ability of any person to find employment. We oppose government-fostered forced retirement. We support the right of free persons to associate or not associate in labor unions, and an employer should have the right to recognize or refuse to recognize a union. We oppose government interference in bargaining, such as compulsory arbitration or imposing an obligation to bargain.”

I read today that President Obama wants another $50 billion in Keynesian stimulus spending. Stimulus supporters think that government spending creates jobs. What they don’t seem to understand is that the money is taken out of the private sector, which decreases private sector spending and investment, and that destroys jobs. I believe that stimulus spending destroys more jobs than it creates. We’d be much better off with the laissez-faire policies advocated by Austrian economic theory.

It makes me mad to think of all the ways the Republican and Democratic congresses, and presidents Bush and Obama, have hurt the private sector with all their stimulus and bailout programs. (Remember George W. Bush’s 2008 “Economic Stimulus Act” with all the $600 “rebate” checks?)

If you’d like to help fight them, please participate in Quiz Across America.

Sincerely,

Wes Benedict
Executive Director
Libertarian National Committee

P.S. If you have not already done so, please join the Libertarian Party. We are the only political party dedicated to free markets and civil liberties. You can also renew your membership. Or, you can make a contribution separate from membership.

Where’s My Christmas Spirit?!

I’m not sure that I have a favorite Christmas song from the traditionally-accepted smorgasborg that’s available. I never had much holiday spirit to begin with, and I’ve been working the past five holiday seasons in a discount warehouse store, either on register or chasing and stopping shoplifters. Thus whatever holiday spirit I once had has been smashed, burned and stuffed down a black hole, just Dan Halen disposed of a dead hooker and his mother in God’s Bro

Still, if I had to name one song as a Christmas favorite, it would be “Hey Santa Claus” by Kevin Bloody Wilsonhere’s the lyrics for those who want to sing along.

How about Christmas with the Aqua Teens?
