    Isn’t that mighty generous of the Athens City Council? Are they going to shell out cash to refurbish all of The Texan’s competitors, as well? Where does this 14k (before cost overruns!) come from if not the taxpayers?

    Paul Pacheco initially supported HB 77 in 2013 (the bill to require background checks at gun shows) and needed a few thousand emails explaining why this was anti-liberty and anti-gun-owner before deciding to save his own political skin by voting against HB 77 the second time it came up for a vote.

    And the pre-existing right to own and carry weapons was guaranteed in 1791 by the Second Amendment.

    When Thomas Jefferson said “. . . carry your gun with you in all your walks,” he didn’t insist that you get a permit from federal, state or local government first.
