Yet Another Case . . .

. . . of the Private Sector Productive Class trumping the Public Sector parasitic Ruling Classwipes.

Last week I ordered a replacement keyboard for my Toshiba Satellite laptop from some place in China off eBay, for ∅14.03.

Twenty, thirty minutes later, I renewed my State-mandated national ID card driver’s license online, using the MVD site, for ∅19.25.

Well, on Wednesday, the new keyboard arrived via the mailbox on the curb. Shipped, ironically enough, through USPS.

I’m still waiting for the “driver’s license.”

So it took less time and less of my cash for someone in China to get a keyboard measuring 13 inches long and weighing about a pound across the Pacific Ocean to me than it takes for the State of New Mexico to mail a 2″ x 3″ plastic card and a sheet of paper (total weight can’t be more than 2 ounces) 100 miles, from Santa Fe to Albuquerque.

Mind you, this is the Private Sector Productive Class in the People’s Republic of China we’re talking about here – last I heard, the Chinese Communist Party is still the ONLY legal political party.

And the Public Sector is that of the State of New Mexico, where the executive branch is currently run by Republicans who (allegedly) support laissez nous faire free market economics, Constitutionally-limited government and individual rights.
