    Most of my blocked list on Xanga are spammers. If they want to use “my” sites here to advertise their pills and knock-off watches, purses, etc., the least they can do is offer me a cut of the take.

    Mark, they’re more properly called _sport utility rifles_ or _military-pattern rifles_ — not many who know they’re talking about where guns are concerned take the term “assault weapon” seriously.

    But David is right — the Founders wanted the civilian populace to have military parity with (if not supremacy over) the federal government.

    How is it that those who want to deny civilians ownership of a .22LR revolver have no problems with the cops using the same sort of weapons they don’t want civilians to own, as well as body armor, armored fighting vehicles, drones, etc., etc.?
