@In_Reason_I_Trust – Here’s my thing: us “nutbags” and “fucktards” have been painted as sympathetic to terrorists, “drug lords,” the KKK and Aryan Airheads, inbred hillbillies, etc., etc., for decades when we don’t simply go along willingly with whatever you demand from us. And you truly do wonder why we don’t offer respect in return?

There are quite a few people demanding exactly that from us – that we surrender liberty and property upon demand, “just because” so you can have your warm fuzzy that you “got something done” and “made a difference.” Lots of them don’t even bother to make the false promise of “we won’t take everything eventually.”

So what kind of enforceable guarantee can I get from you that such new regulations will actually perform as advertised? What sort of penalty are you prepared to pay should they fail, as I maintain they will?

What sort of penalty are you prepared to pay if this promise (?) turns out to be false? What recourse do I have?

I don’t wanna hear the whining and ignorant nutbaggery anymore.

Get used to it – those of us who support gun rights aren’t too thrilled with your brand of inanity, either.

Apparently WorldTruth nuked the profile I created last night. Really irritating.

Understand that Facebook and Google Plus exist as they are for the purposes of marketing to us. That’s how they make their money (or FRNs, as applicable). Eventually WorldTruth will probably go that way, too.

The true question is this: Are you content to be a passive pair of eyes, simply taking it all in, or do you want to use these networks to do a little marketing of your own?

  5. Re: Jim Carrey, I Liked it Better When I Could Like You

I found the official page for the clip, but the clip itself seems to have been removed from that page.

I’ve been seeing and hearing this sort of trash-talk towards gun owners since 1989 (when I first got into politics), and they truly do wonder why we don’t offer respect in return. See also HERE.

In other words, the rich people that aren’t in his circles.

In other words, “what’s mine is mine, what’s yours is negotiable (and ultimately mine).”

How can we not love them?

    Ain’t that the truth.

Wait a second here — didn’t UNM offer him a huge raise to stick around? At least he wasn’t as bad as Locksley, but still. And then the students wonder why tuition keeps going up and up and up . . . .

I was under the impression that flamethrowers are already unregulated. What is a flamethrower but a liquid spraying device where you fill the fluid reservoir with flammable liquid? I remember the pump-action fire extinguishers that we had at Scout camp — a backpack-mounted water tank connected to the pump by a rubber hose. Instead of water, fill it with a flammable liquid that won’t trash the hose and seals.

The funny thing is that the Secret Service wrote back to the bill’s sponsor (?), a Rep. Jared Wright, and told him “That’s not our gig.”

I have no problem with people providing voluntary charity to others. As for those who insist that I “give it up” for their cause of mandatory “charity,” YES, they can go fuck themselves, they can go fuck each other and they can go fuck the horses they rode in on.

For what it’s worth, while I’d like to see full and total deregulation of the arms market, I’ll reserve my own FRNs for suppressed short-barrel rifles, maybe subguns or PDWs. Oh, and don’t forget grenade launchers and RPGs. The select-fire stuff doesn’t really do anything for me.

If I had to purchase a belt-fed MG, the best ones out there seem to be the Russian PKM and the South African SS-77. Thus I’d go with the SS-77 because 7.62×51 NATO and 5.56×45 NATO are easier to obtain than 7.62x54R.

Argentina is just as “lefty” as the United States, maybe more. Chile, Panama, Costa Rica seem like better prospects.

The blog entry I linked to above does have the disclaimer of “Assuming that we believe the official account of the John F. Kennedy assassination, and accept the Warren Commission’s determination of the maximum time from first to last shot, . . . .”

Doctor Who is like Star Trek — one episode might be fantastic, and the next one total garbage. Haven’t seen the series that can top Babylon 5 yet.

My question remains as posted: Are you content to be a passive pair of eyes, simply taking it all in, or do you want to use these networks to do a little marketing of your own?

What you’re really obeying (besides the sheet of metal) is the processor chip in the traffic light and its programming (about 200 lines of code, if I recall correctly).
