Kel-Tec Survey

Current mood: bored, cool, enthralled

Here’s the link for the Kel-Tec survey that I took.

    * 1) Do you currently own any Kel-Tec products?
          o Yes — a P-32 pistol
          o No

    * 2) Which new Kel-Tec product are you most excited about?
o RFB .308 — Any chance of it coming out in 7mm-08
          o SU-22 and PLR-22 Series in .22LR
          o AR-Stock adapters for SU-16 and SU-22 Series
          o Side-folding stock for SU-16 and SU-22 Series

Here’s a picture of the RFB — what can I say? I’m a fan of bullpups.
I’m hoping that they’ll keep the price of the RFB under Ø3000.

One thing that the RFB needs is an extended handguard — barrels can get hot after firing large amounts of ammo, and it’s easy to get burned touching a hot barrel with your bare hands. That extended handguard can also be used for MIL-STD-1913 “”Picatinny” rails for mounting flashlights, foregrips, etc., etc., etc.

And they do need to change the name — “RFB” just doesn’t work.

    * 3) How likely is it that you will buy any of the new products listed in the previous question?
o I have already purchased one or more
          o Highly likely
          o Moderately likely
          o Not very likely
o Wouldn’t even think of it

    * 4) Which of the following products would you most like to see Kel-Tec produce?
          o A 10 round magazine for the P3AT
o A Pistol chambered in .45 ACP or .45 GAP
          o A non-folding, conventional pistol caliber (9mm, .40, .45) Bullpup for home defense
          o A non-folding, non-conventional PDW caliber (5.7x28mm, 4.6x30mm) Bullpup for home defense and
             pistols for the same
o A .22 magnum Bullpup rifle utilizing proprietary, large-capacity magazines
o “Match Grade” or heavy-duty components for current Kel-Tec products, such as metal triggers for our
pistols and rifles with over-travel stops and/or metallic sights for the PF-9 and P-11
o Modular components such as Quad-rails and interchangeable grip panels for SU-16 series
o A Kel-Tec pistol/aftermarket laser sight combo pack for distributors
          o None of the above

    * 5) Which PDW or pistol cartidge is your favorite for use in a small, carbine-sized package?
          o 9x19mm NATO
          o 40 S&W (I’ll settle for .40 Liberty, but would prefer 10mm)
          o 45 Auto
          o 5.7x28mm
          o 4.6x30mm
          o .22 Magnum Rimfire
          o None of these
